How to delete Windows.old of Windows 10
If you performed an update to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or Windows 8, or that you have performed an upgrade from an older version "build" of Windows 10, you may have noticed that your hard drive suddenly prices slightly overweight.
This is the update process that is involved. This automatically keeps a copy of the files of the old system and places them in a Windows.old folder at the root of the main hard drive, usually C: \
There may be a rights management system problem prevents delete this folder by moving it to the basket, so we'll go through the Windows Disk Cleanup. Make sure before that everything runs smoothly and you will not need to dip into those old files or to restore to a previous version of Windows.
As we were on the workstation "This PC", made a right-click on the hard drive> Properties:
Now click on "Disk Cleanup" on the General tab:

Windows 10 asks for confirmation and begins cleaning. After this procedure, the Windows.old file is missing from the root of the C: \ drive.
